SHPE Alumni Newsletter
Hello Alumni,
Thank you for taking the time to read our first alumni newsletter of the year. This year our chapter’s goal is to maintain and strengthen our relationships with alumni to provide a great experience for our members, as well as for you, our alumni. At the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at UCR, we value familia and we want everyone to have that experience as well as the ability to continue to be part of our familia after graduation.
Our goal is to have the capability for alumni to continue their involvement with SHPE and continue to empower Latinx in STEM. It’s our main goal to uplift one another and provide role models so that everyone can believe in themselves and be inspired. As alumni, you all have the influence to change someone’s life and provide that encouragement and help.
These newsletters will help you be informed of our events, being aware of our brilliant members and their accomplishments, and provide you with ways to help us a chapter through various funding opportunities or taking part in our mentorship program. Overall, I hope this newsletter will encourage you to continue your involvement with SHPE UCR.
